Golf Week has made it easy to compose your bucket list for golf by naming their picks for 2014 top courses to play in each state.  We have pulled out the ones for North and South Carolina because the Carolinas are the place to play golf.  This year alone on the PGA Tour there is the RBC Heritage Classic in Hilton Head, The Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte, the US Open in Pinehurst NC and the Wyndham Championsip in Greensboro NC.  The LPGA will play the US Women’s Open in Pinehurst NC and the Champions Tour will have two stops in North Carolina.

Congratulations to the Grand Strand / Myrtle Beach area courses who made the list, 14 of 30, almost 50%.  Wow!  That means you can come, stay in one locations and play half of the top courses in both North and South Carolina.  That’s awesome.

Below are both lists.  The abbreviation “m” is for “modern style”, “c” is for “classic style” and the “*” means it’s new to the list.
